Picasso the Monkey is a very friendly and very silly art monkey. He came from the jungle in search of learning all there is about art. His favorite fruit and color is orange and he loves to sculpt. His best friend is Miss Tina and he can't wait to meet you!
Frida the Color Cockatoo, is easily excited when ever someone mentions a color. She doesn't love just one she loves them all! She loves to paint and loves making songs about art. She is the newest member of the HCRP Art Adventure Art Animal Squad! She is very excited to make art with you this summer!
Director: Christina Kaputsos
Christina Kaputsos is a working artist/designer and illustrator. She is a cum laude graduate from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Christina has been a part of Art Adventure for five years and also teaches other art programs with Howard County Recreation and Parks year round. Her work has been featured in various galleries around the Baltimore Area. She has been a designer for the Steps to the Cure, a breast cancer benefit fashion show, as well as a participating artist in other cause and non-profit events. Christina works in a wide array of mediums, from traditional illustration, to sculpture, to paper garment making. Christina believes in being a Renaissance woman and artist. She is greatly involved in the community and believes it is the up most importance to nurture the future.
